Christmas means presents under the tree. Our tree is fake and we have an ornament for every pet.  The ornament looks like the pet.  Santa puts presents in the livingroom in different piles.  My brother and I get up really early and we meet in one of our bed rooms and talk until mom and dad gets up.  We go down stairs and we open Santa's presents first.  We sort the presents under the tree into piles then we take turns opening presents.  Then we get to open stockings and the animals each have their own stocking.  After that we eat a real fancy breakfast.  So, the rest of the day I play with my gifts then go to my Uncle Tim's to eat dinner.

Happy Veteran's Day

On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918 an armistice or temporary cessation of hostilities, was declared between the Allied nations and Germany. This happened at the end of W W 1. Veteran's Day is celebrated on the same day every year.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is on the fourth Thursday of November every year. A big feast was held with 53 pilgrems and 90 Native Americans. The feast lasted for three days. Thanksgiving was officially made a holiday by Abraham Lincoln in 1863.  Preston County Students get a week off for Thanksgiving.  My favorite part of the meal is the mashed sweat potatoes cassarole with marshmellows on top.
